The original Cask & Barrel on Broughton Street is one of the first Cask Ale Bars in Edinburgh. The building was a bank back in the 60’s before being developed into a bar named ‘Come On In’ in the 70’s. It changed a further 2 times in the 80’s to Claremont Bar then to Cornerstone Bar before another refurb in the early 90’s to the now very successful Cask and Barrel. Its very much a traditional bar with an authentic feel, providing a great range of cask ales, and has built up a great reputation over the years. Serving lovely home-cooked lunches throughout the week and showing the best of live sports, the Cask and Barrel is the place to be!
